Confirmed: Pushpa to release in Two Parts

Telugu360 was the first to break the news that Allu Arjun’s upcoming movie Pushpa will be made in two parts. The film’s director Sukumar and Bunny had long discussions about the move as that was not the plan initially. The team worked on the factors and informed the same to Allu Arjun. The young actor asked Sukumar to go ahead. Almost half of the film is now completed and the pending portions will be completed in two more weeks after the shoot resumes.

Sukumar is currently busy locking the rough cut and is finalizing the content. The first installment of Pushpa will have its theatrical release this year. The makers are considering a Dasara or a December release for the first installment for now depending on the coronavirus situations. Allu Arjun will allocate bulk dates for the second part and will release it during the second half of 2022. Pushpa features Rashmika Mandanna, Sunil and Fahad Fazal in other important roles. Mythri Movie Makers are producing this big-budget project on red sandalwood smuggling.

Top director Sukumar is busy carving Pushpa with Allu Arjun in the lead role. Before even commencing the shoot of Pushpa, Sukumar announced that he would work with young actor Vijay Devarakonda in his next. Falcon Creations are on the board as the producers. There are speculations that Ram Charan replaced Vijay Devarakonda in this project and to put an end to the speculations, the makers of the film issued a clarification.

The statement said that the project is on and it will start as per the plan and the announced combination. The makers asked everyone not to believe in the misinformation that is spread by some sections. The project will roll as per the plan once Sukumar and Vijay Devarakonda are done with their current commitments. Vijay Devarakonda is working with Puri Jagannadh for Liger and the film is announced for September 9th release across the globe. Sukumar’ Pushpa will hit the screens in December this year.

Sukumar intends to remake Jagadam again

Top director Sukumar is completely focused on Allu Arjun’s Pushpa that will release in August. Sukumar worked with Ram for the film Jagadam and the movie completed 17 years. On this occasion, Sukumar shared his thoughts about the memorable experience though Jagadam ended up as a flop. Sukumar revealed that he is very interested to work with Ram again. “I intend to remake Jagadam again with Ram. I wish to see him in Jagadam again” told Sukumar.

Sukumar felt that the film did not get the right appreciation. He even said that the film suffered several cuts before the censor board. He lauded the technicians Rathnavelu, Devi Sri Prasad and Sreekar Prasad for their work. Speaking about Ram, Sukumar said, “He is full of energy. He never said no to any sequence or act. He is a quick learner and energetic on the sets. Ram’s first movie Devadas released about seven days ago and I met Sravanthi Ravikishore and narrated the script. I got an immediate nod and started Jagadam soon”.

Sukumar announces one more project

After the super success of Rangasthalam, Sukumar is directing Pushpa featuring Allu Arjun. He is simultaneously working on several scripts and is producing films on Sukumar Writings. Sukumar is currently producing Nikhil’s 18 Pages and has Sai Dharam Tej’s mystical thriller. Sukumar today announced that he will produce young actor Karthikeya’s next. Sukumar will pen the story, screenplay and dialogues for this film.

The details about the director and technicians will be announced at a later date. Karthikeya completed the shoot of Chavukaburu Challaga and the film releases next Friday.

Sukumar earns big through Uppena

Top director Sukumar supervised a small film Uppena that is directed by his protege Buchi Babu. Sukumar co-produced the film along with Mythri Movie Makers and kept a special focus on the project. The entire money was pooled by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar will enjoy half of the profits for supervising the entire project. Uppena is a smashing hit at the box-office and the film will collect Rs 50 crores in the final run in theatres. The non-theatrical rights of the film too fetched good deals for the makers.

The makers are expected to earn Rs 40 crores profits through the film and Sukumar will earn Rs 20 crores from the profits. This is almost equal to the remuneration Sukumar takes for a film. Uppena left everyone in huge profits. The makers also paid good amounts for Vaisshnav Tej, Krithi Shetty, Buchi Babu after the film ended up as a super hit.

Director Koratala Siva confessed that he would like to do a film in Sukumar Writings banner. Koratala made these comments at the pre-release event of ‘Uppena.’

“Generally we get to know the performance of a film at the box office after two days of its release. But Uppena gives a vibes that it’s already a big hit. The man behind this is Buchi Babu and credit also to the director Sukumar for bringing out such a talent,” said Koratala.

Adding the director stated, “Buchi narrated the script of ‘Uppena’ for about four to five hours. Every scene has a back story and that shows his passion and involvement in making ‘Uppena’ a great film.”

Koratala showered praise on the lead pair Panja Vaisshnav Tej and Kriti Shetty. “Aasi and Babamma can only be done by Vaisshnav and Kriti. The one and only Vijay Sethupathi can fit in Rayanam role. It’s an honour that Vijay Sethupathi is among us,” said Koratala.

Wishing the producers Mythri Movie Makers, Koratala added ‘Uppena’ is only possible with them and he knows the kind support the film required.

Sukumar’s last-minute changes for Uppena

DSP and Sukumar ready for a musical feast

Sukumar and Devi Sri Prasad delivered chartbusters over these years and all the albums in their combo lived up to their expectations. DSP who is running in a lean phase took it as an opportunity to bounce back and is working for Sukumar’s next film Pushpa. Sukumar’s masterplan for Pushpa

Telangana government asked the Telugu film industry to resume shoots but imposed strict guidelines that should be followed on the sets during this coronavirus season. The unit should have a maximum number of 40 members which disappointed most of the filmmakers. It is impossible to shoot with the guidelines felt several directors and producers. Because of this, most of the shoots did not resume. Allu Arjun is all excited to join the shoot of Pushpa that will be directed by Sukumar. The film is an action thriller which has to be shot in forests mostly.

Sukumar and his team came with a masterplan recently. They are in plans to start the shoot with a crew of 200 members soon. The shoot of the film will start across the outskirts of Hyderabad. The makers are in plans to provide food and accommodation for the entire unit in a resort near to the shooting locations. All the unit members would be tested for coronavirus before they enter the premises.

The entire cast, crew members will stay in the resort till the entire schedule of Pushpa gets completed. The movie unit is currently in talks to acquire all the necessary permissions for the same before starting the shoot. No outside person or food will be allowed into the premises of the shoot or the resort in which the unit resides. If the government gives their nod, Sukumar and his team will plan the schedule and will start the shoot of Pushpa. The movie unit is waiting for the response from the government.

Pushpa is a thriller that is about the sandalwood smuggling in Sesachalam forests in Chittor. Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna are the lead actors in this action thriller that will be bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers.

After the super success of Rangasthalam, Sukumar is all set to direct Allu Arjun in his next. The film is set in the Chittoor backdrop and a major portion of the film will be shot in thick forests. Sukumar and his team spent a month in Kerala and finalized some exclusive locations for the film’s shoot. Even a trial shoot was conducted for the film. With the coronavirus scare, the government of Kerala rejected all the permissions for the film shoots.

The shoot of the film is delayed as of now. Sukumar and his team are scouting locations in East Godavari for the film’s shoot. He is busy hunting for the locations in Rampachodavaram and Maredumilli forests. If things turn normal, Sukumar is in plans to shoot some of the episodes in East Godavari for the film. Sukumar is all set to direct Allu Arjun in his next film and the next schedule of the film will commence in the Nallamala forest. Sukumar canned some of the episodes without Allu Arjun in Kerala in the past. Now the entire Kerala schedule is said to have been scrapped.
