Tamil star Suriya is coming up with an out and out commercial entertainer which has been titled as Gang in Telugu. ( Thaana Serndha Kootam in Tamil). Directed by Vignesh Sivan, the film stars happening beauty Keerthi Suresh as the female lead. The film is gearing up for a grand release in Telugu states during Sankranthi season and the Telugu teaser has been unveiled today evening.

The teaser gives a brief glimpse of what is in store for audience after the film’s release. At one minute run time, the teaser is thoroughly entertaining with Suriya slaying it completely with his trademark mannerisms and expressions.

Packed with fun and mass elements in equal measure, the teaser leaves audience guessing on what interesting character is being essayed by Suriya. It also gives a glimpse of Ramya Krishna and Keerthi Suresh. Anirudh Ravichander’s impressive background score is one more takeaway for the teaser.

Gang is going to release in AP/TG through UV Creations. Studio Green Banner is the production unit behind this film.

Tamil actor Suriya desperately needs a massive hit soon and he pinned many hopes on Thaana Serndha Kootam which has been aimed for Sankranthi release. The actor teamed up with Selvaraghavan which started rolling recently. The latest news we hear is that Suriya is all set for a Mega project which will be directed by KV Anand. Suriya and KV Anand earlier worked for films like Ayan (Veedokkade) and Maattraan (Brothers).

Now the duo is teaming up for the third time and the film will start rolling from the mid of 2018. The interesting news is that top production house Lyca Productions will bankroll this prestigious project. Suriya’s next titled as Gang

Talented Tamil actor Suriya carries good fan base and market in Telugu states. His upcoming film Thaana Serndha Kootam, directed by Vignesh Sivan, is going to have a grand release in Telugu on January 12th as Sankranthi treat.

As exclusively reported by Telugu360 in the last week, the Telugu rights of this film have been bagged by UV Creations in exchange to the Tamil rights deal for Anushka’s Bhaagamathie with Studio Green Banner. We have already stated the film has been titled as Gang in Telugu.

Confirming the same, UV Creations has officially released the first look poster of Gang. The colorful poster features Suriya in an enthusiastic mood with a bunch of dancers in the background.

The film stars Keerthy Suresh as the female lead. Anirudh Ravichander is the music composer.

Talented Tamil actor Suriya has been busy with his next project Thaana Serndha Kootam which is a mass entertainer. Three noted Tamil films to challenge Tollywood Sankranthi films

Sankranthi 2018 is getting bigger with each passing day. Already Pawan Kalyan’s Agnatavaasi, Balakrishna’s Jai Simha and a couple of medium budget films have been confirmed to release during the Sankranthi season. Now, it has been revealed that three noted Tamil biggies will challenge Telugu films at the Sankranthi box office.

Vishal’s Abhimanyudu, which has Samantha as the female lead, has been confirmed to release in Telugu for Sankranthi. The action thriller directed by PS Mitran will get a decent release in Telugu states considering Vishal’s market here.

Talented Tamil superstar Suriya has joined the Sankranthi race with his upcoming film Thaana Serndha Kootam which is likely to be titled as Kaisar in Telugu. Vignesh Sivan is the director for the film and Keerthi Suresh is the heroine. As Suriya carries good craze in Telugu states, this film is likely to have a solid release in Telugu as well.

Also in the Sankranthi race is versatile Tamil actor Vikram’s Sketch which is in the making since a long time. Starring Tamannaah as the female lead, Sketch is directed by Vijay Chander. The film will simultaneously release in Telugu and Tamil on Jan 12th.

Actor-producer Suriya penned an emotional to his fans for being an honest support system in his 20-year-long cinematic journey, which he says has been about trying to push the envelope.

Suriya, who made his acting debut with 1997 Tamil film “Nerukku Ner”, directed by Vasanth and produced by Mani Ratnam, tweeted the post on Wednesday night.

He wrote: “The last 20 years of my cinematic journey was about attaining the unachievable. Yet you all made it possible for me. Your applause…! Your applause motivated me to raise my bar, your thumbs down helped me to learn better, your support drove me to go beyond cinema (Agaram Foundation).

“Above all, your love kept this engine chugging. Here I owe you my life for the last 20 years of my travel and for the many more miles I need to make. Thanks one and all.”

In his illustrious career, Suriya has starred in memorable films like “Nanda”, “Pitharmagan”, “Mounam Pesiyidhe”, “Kaakha Kaakha”, “Ghajini”, “Varanam Aayiram”, “Singam” and “24”.

His lone Hindi film is Ram Gopal Varma’s “Rakht Charitra”.

Suriya turned producer with Tamil children’s film “Pasanga 2” and also bankrolled his wife Jyotika’s comeback Tamil film “36 Vayadhinile”.

Suriya to produce his brother’s next film

Actor Suriya’s 2D Entertainment will produce his brother Karthi’s next yet-untitled Tamil film under Pandiraj’s direction, it was announced on Friday.

At the audio launch of G.V. Prakash Kumar starrer Tamil film “Sema”, Rajsekar Pandian on behalf of 2D Entertainment announced the project.

“We are proud to announce that our next project will be with Karthi, and in the direction of Pandiraj,” Rajsekar told the media here.

Suriya, who turned producer with his wife Jyotika-starrer “36 Vayadhinile”, is teaming up with his brother for the first time.

Karthi is currently busy wrapping up Tamil action-thriller “Dheeran Adhigaaram Ondru”.

The project with his brother is expected to start rolling later this year.

Non-bailable warrant on Eight Tamil actors including Suriya

An Ooty court today issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against eight Tamil actors for not appearing before the court regarding the defamation case filed by a senior journalist in 2009. Ooty Judicial Magistrate Senthilkumar Rajavel issued the warrant against Suriya, Sathyaraj, Cheran, Vijayakumar, Sarathkumar, Arun Vijay, Vivek and Sripriya as they failed to appear before the court for the second time consecutively. It was in 2009, a leading Tamil daily published a news that an actress raised charges of prostitution on the above list of actors.

After the news turned controversial, the newspaper published an apology. However the actors seemed not to calm down and organized a public protest abusing the senior journalist Rozario Mariya Susai after which Rozario filed a complaint in Ooty. After two attempts, the Ooty court issued a non-bailable warrant on Suriya, Sathyaraj, Cheran, Vijayakumar, Sarathkumar, Arun Vijay, Vivek and Sripriya as they failed to appear before the court. The next hearing will take place on June 17th.

After getting postponed on numerous occasions, Suriya’s much awaited cop drama Singam 3 is finally released today ( Feb 9th) all over. Singam-3 stars Shruthi Haasan and Anushka Shetty as the female leads. Singam’s electrifying trailers promise high voltage action drama and Suriya will be seen as a dynamic cop in a larger than life characterization. S3 did a phenomenal prerelease business in Telugu states and is set to register thumping openings due to solo release. Directed by Hari, S3 is a production of Gnanavel Raja and has its music score done by Harris Jayraj. Let’s us see if the Singam franchise continues to impress with its third part or not.

Story :

The third installment of ‘Singam’ franchise , Singam 3 ( titled ‘ Yamudu’ in Telugu), is about a fierce cop Narasimha who investigates the murder of the police commissioner of Mangalore city. Narasimha ( Suriya ) , belongs to AP cadre, has been promoted to CBI in order to be transferred to Mangalore assignment. During the course of investigation, Suriya learns that local mafia don A.S. Reddy ( Sharad Saxena) was the one who murdered the police commissioner. While trying to close A.S.Reddy, Narasimha realizes that there is much bigger plot behind the commissioner murder. Further investigation drives Suriya towards the mining and steel baron Vittal Prasad ( Thakur Anoop Singh ) who is an immigrant citizen of Australia. Vittal , who is also the son of Indian union minister , operates a globally networked mafia of Medical waste , e-waste such toxic material dumping.

Watch it on big screen to know why an international mafia is connected to Mangalore local mafia, how Narasimha tracks down to Vittal and punishes latter.

Performances:

Suriya as Narasimha is simply superb, carries Singam 3 solely on his shoulders. With his fiery eyes, handle bar mustache and well-toned body, Suriya is a perfect fit for ruthless police officer role. His daring stunts, swift movements are eye feast for fans and masses. Anushka , in Suriya’s wife character, has limited screen time and as she was totally out of shape. Shruti Hassan plays investigative journalist, has limited scenes as her co-heroine. She looked good in Wi Wi WI WiFi song. Senior actress Radhika has played an important role.Comedian Soori’s comedy thread is totally annoying, one of the major negative points in this film. Robo Shankar got considerable role as Suriya’s assistant officer, fits well to the role

Analysis:

Singam 3 has thin story line, entirely based on action scenes. Right from the word go, scene after another, it is all about a strict police officer’s tirade against the bad. With background score being very loud, by the end of the movie audience will be exhausted. Previous parts of Singam 3, especially Singam 1, was filled with highly charged up elevation scenes, and succeeded. But in Part 3, only couple of episodes came out well. The one in Australia airport is highlight of the film. Comedian Soori’s thread comes as an annoying speed breaker throughout the movie.

Movie picks up momentum right before the interval, continues the tempo for majority of the rest of the film. While the screenplay is superfast, no boring moments, but regular audience will be exhausted because of action episodes and loud BGM. Director Hari made a racy film for masses and fans of Suriya’s ferocious Singam series.

Verdict:

Singam 3 is an outright action thriller that caters to the fans of Suriya and action movie lovers. The racy screenplay is one of the highlights, high intense action episods are impressive at times. However, the failed comedy thread and loudness in action scenes hampers the experience to some extent. Overall, Singam-3 is an average film which may do good business in mass centers.

The film industry in Hyderabad has an umbilical chord that connects to Chennai. The past three weeks saw Chennai being battered with incessant rains that threw normal life out of gear, rendering thousand homeless,bringing the city down to its knees. Tamil actor Suriya and gorgeous actress Samantha have been vigorously shooting from the past few weeks for their upcoming film 24 in the direction of ‘Manam’ fame Vikram Kumar. The current schedule, which has been progressing in Mumbai from the past three months,will be completed in a few more days. A close source to the unit revealed that they will now head to Poland.
