Prabhas tasted the biggest ever debacle with Radhe Shyam that released recently. Prabhas fans are left in shock for their favorite actor picking up Radhe Shyam which is a boring romantic tale. During a recent interview, Prabhas admitted that the audience are not in a mood to watch him in romantic films. Prabhas did romantic entertainers like Varsham and Darling during the early days of his career and his age is no match for romantic films now. The actor is also not in good shape to suit well in romantic flicks.

The Baahubali actor himself revealed that he would not pick up romantic films in the future. The audience wishes to watch him in action entertainers. Prabhas will next be seen in Salaar and Adipurush. Both these films are action entertainers. Project K is a science fiction. After collecting the feedback of Radhe Shyam, Prabhas took a call not to do love stories in his career. This would be a wise decision from the actor.

There is a talk in Telugu film industry that the actor who worked with SS Rajamouli will deliver at least 2-3 flops after Rajamouli’s film. Prabhas gained mighty craze with the Baahubali franchise and he is now the biggest pan-Indian actor of the country. The top actor delivered his second flop in a row with Radhe Shyam after Baahubali: The Conclusion. Radhe Shyam opened on a dull note outside the Telugu states and is declared as a dud. The word of mouth is poor for the film but Radhe Shyam made decent money in Telugu states. Prabhas too failed to break the jinx and he delivered two flops with Saaho and Radhe Shyam.

Radhe Shyam lacked emotional connect which is the major drawback of the film. Prabhas’ looks too are criticized and his fans urged him to work on his looks. Prabhas is lined up with a series of projects and he is keen to release 3 films in the next one year. He is done with the shoot of Adipurush and the actor is shooting for Salaar. He also gave his nod for Maruthi’s film and the shoot commences in May. Prabhas is currently holidaying in Europe and he is expected to return back to Hyderbad this weekend.

In some of the episodes, he looked quite lean and handsome. In some of them, he looked aged and bulky. Radhe Shyam release today and the response is mixed. The film is directed by Radha Krishna Kumar and Prabhas, Pooja Hegde played the lead roles.

Superstar Prabhas, who has worked in blockbuster hits with a dollop of high-octane action, says he wanted to move away from his action image and do something different and that’s how his latest release ‘Radhe Shyam’, a lovestory, happened to him.

The ‘Baahubali’ star says ‘Radhe Shyam’ also has a sprinkle of thriller and is India’s first film with retro visuals, dresses and colour mix.

In a candid conversation with IANS, during the promotion of the film in the Capital, Prabhas revealed as to what enticed him to take up ‘Radhe Shyam’, which also stars Pooja Hegde.

“I wanted to do something different not like action, action and action… I wanted to do something different so that I could do some experiment more in the future. So, we thought we’d do a love story or something different. I heard 3-4 scripts and planned to do this,” said Prabhas, who is the first south Indian star to receive a wax sculpture at Madame Tussaud’s wax museum.

The 42-year-old actor hopes that the film lives up to the expectations.

“The promos and making videos got good response and finally after three different dates finally it’s getting released so hope it works,” he said.

Written and directed by Radha Krishna Kumar, ‘Radhe Shyam’ is a period romantic drama, which revolves around the story of Vikramaditya, a palmist who is conflicted between destiny and his love for Prerana, played by Pooja.

Does Prabhas in personal life believe in palmistry and astrology?

“I never followed anything like that. We have heard many stories… In my family also we had heard many stories… This palmist told that this is going to happen and all my uncle said ‘he’s going to be big when I was born’ but I never followed any palmistry or astrology…”

“We have a rich culture in astrology in India but I never followed,” said the pan-India star, who was ranked second in Times’ Most Desirable Men for the year 2017 and twelfth in 2018.

Prabhas has previously done two romantic films such as ‘Darling’ and ‘Mr. Perfect’.

Asked about what attracts him towards the concept of romance, he said: “So, I did two romantic love stories in Telugu which I had good action image then also I did that and it worked very well… It’s called ‘Darling’ and ‘Mr. Perfect’.”

“So, after ‘Baahubali’ and ‘Saaho’… We thought better go with a love story with a small budget and I couldn’t get a proper script then ‘Saaho’ happened… for ‘Radhe Shyam’ we took a lot of care and drama…”

Added the actor: “We can say it’s a love thriller also in a way and with granduer aand first time in Indian-cinema — retro. We, never saw Indian cinema with retro visuals or dresses or the colour mix.”

Theaters across India witnessed a festival atmosphere today, as Prabhas’ Radhe Shyam was released this morning. Fans celebrated the movie’s release in a big way and are thoroughly enjoying the grand flick.

According to trade sources, Radhe Shyam has seen the biggest ever opening in 2022 so far, beating all earlier records. With full bookings for the next few days, box-offices are set to witness huge revenues.

The reception to Radhe Shyam has clearly proved the star power of Prabhas, who has emerged pan-Indian star. Starring Pooja Hegde as heroine, Radhe Shyam has been produced on a lavish budget by Vamsi and Pramod on UV Creations banner. The movie has been released in multiple languages- Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada.

Justin Prabhakaran has composed the songs and S Thaman the background score, while Manoj Parahamasa has wielded the camera for the movie.

As his film ‘Radhe Shyam’ is all set to hit the screens on Friday, star Prabhas has thanked renowned personalities such as Amitabh Bachchan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shiva Rajkumar and S.S. Rajamouli for lending their “glorious” voices to the movie.

Amitabh, Prithviraj, Rajkumar and Rajamouli have voiced the film in different languages.
