Victory Venkatesh is all set to work with successful director Anil Ravipudi for the third time and an announcement was made today evening on the auspicious day of Ugadi. Everyone predicted that the film would be an emotional family entertainer. But the announcement said that this untitled film is a Triangular Crime Entertainer and it would happen between an Ex Cop, Ex Girlfriend and the wife of Ex-Cop. Venkatesh essays the role of an ex-cop and there are speculations that Trisha may essay the role of the heroine.

Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations are the producers and Bheems is composing the music and background score. The shooting formalities will start in June and the film will have a Sankranthi 2025 release. The other cast and crew members are currently being finalized. Venkatesh is currently shooting for Rana Naidu Season 2.

He further expressed “As I unveiled ‘Saindhav’ as my 75th film, I shared the excitement surrounding its creation—a cinematic blend featuring high-end emotional action and a new-age thriller. Director Shailesh’s innovative approach presented the film in a refreshingly novel manner, particularly in the reimagined action sequences that have become synonymous with my movies”.

In extending a heartfelt invitation, he emphasized the inclusivity of the cinematic experience, urging everyone, from brothers and sisters to grandpas and kids, to experience this visual journey. Addressing the significance of the occasion, he asserted, “This is not a normal festival; this is a big festival. I hold unwavering confidence that should you believe and watch the movie on Jan 13th, there is no doubt that you would find it a source of immense joy”.

Victory Venkatesh has achieved the milestone of 75th film with Saindhav and the team arranged a grand event on the occassion. Several top actors from Telugu film industry were invited. The event was not live and it was restricted to limited fans, friends and the industry celebrities. Chiranjeevi, Nani, Rana Daggubati, Adivi Sesh, Nikhil, Sree Vishnu, Vishwak Sen, Brahmanandam, Ali along with the team of Saindhav attended the event. Anil Ravipudi and Bobby are the other guests from the directors of Telugu cinema.

Chiranjeevi lauded Venkatesh for his journey in Telugu cinema. The event will be telecasted on ETV on the New Year’s eve. Saindhav is an action thriller directed by Sailesh Kolanu. Venkatesh, Shraddha Srinath, Nawazuddin Siddhiqui, Arya, Andrea, Ruhani Sharma and others will be seen in prominent roles. Niharika Entertainment are the producers of Saindhav.

A rare achievement for Rana Naidu

Victory Venkatesh and his nephew Rana Daggubati teamed up for Rana Naidu, a web series that is produced by Netflix. The second season is getting ready and the shoot commences next year after the response for the first season was overwhelming. On Tuesday, Netflix announced the straming performance of the 18,000 plus shows available on the platform. The report revealed the most viewed titles along with the streaming hours for the period of January 2023 till June 2023.

The Night Agent, an American thriller topped the list globally with 812.1 million hours of viewing. Rana Naidu is the only Indian series that is placed in the top 400 and it is positioned at 336. No other Indian films or web series made it to the top 400 as per the reports from Netflix. The cuss words in Rana Naidu received criticism from the family crowds but Rana Naidu is one of the most popular titles of India.

Rana Daggubati, Venkatesh-starrer ‘Rana Naidu’ renewed for Season 2

The Indian adaptation of ‘Ray Donovan’ titled ‘Rana Naidu’, an action thriller, has been renewed for a second season by Netflix.

Talking about the series renewal, Tanya Bami, Series Head – Netflix India said: “Netflix India’s series slate has been entertaining members with a wide variety of exciting stories across genres over the last couple of years. And Rana Naidu has been a great way for us to end the first quarter of 2023.

The high adrenaline thriller has enthralled fans in India and around the world. The dynamic cast headlined by Rana and Venkatesh Daggubati and supported by a brilliant ensemble of Surveen Chawla, Sushant Singh, Abhishek Banerjee, Ashish Vidyarthi, have been lauded for their performances. We are delighted to announce that this high stakes family drama and the riveting father son tension will be back for a second season with more twists, turns and pulsating action.”

The two characters Rana, Naga, their feuds, follies, and dysfunctional family dynamic will come back to set screens everywhere on fire again, captivating audiences with dark twists and high-octane turns.

Superstars Salman Khan and Venkatesh have tightened their ‘lungis’ as they did a revamped version of the ‘Naatu Naatu’ hookstep with Ram Charan for the song ‘Yentamma’ from ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’.

‘Yentamma’ features Salman, Venkatesh and Ram in bright yellow shirts, white with gold bordered mundu and black boots. The song features Salman and Venkatesh with full swag dancing on the high powered song on stage.

Actress Pooja Hegde joins while Ram comes in a different frame.

The song also features Shehnaaz Gill, Palak Tiwari, Raghav Juyal and Siddharth Nigam.

Directed by Farhad Samji, the film marks the Bollywood debut of Shehnaaz Gill and Palak Tiwari and will also star Jagapathi Babu, Bhumika Chawla and also have glimpses of Abdu Rozik, Bhagyashree and others.

The film will release in theatres on April 21.

Rana, Venkatesh explored new relationship dynamics in ‘Rana Naidu’ shoot

Actor Rana Daggubati, who is gearing up for his streaming series ‘Rana Naidu’, has shared that while working on the series, he and his uncle Venkatesh Daggubati, who portrays his on-screen father, explored a different dynamic to their relationship.

The actor explained: “I usually play characters that are either good or bad, but Rana is a mix of both. He lives a dark life but also works hard to support his family. Besides the name, I don’t have much in common with him. Rana in the show has a complex past and deals with anger in an extreme way. It was challenging for me because I’m usually a chill person.”

Rana plays the role of a brooding fixer in the series and will be available to stream soon on Netflix from March 10. ‘Rana Naidu’ brings together superstar duo Rana and Venkatesh Daggubati on screen for the first time.

He further mentioned: “Luckily, my uncle and I have a great relationship off-screen, so it was fun to explore a different dynamic on set. We definitely struggled with the profanity, but we focused on the time we got between action and cut to really hone in our characters, in that moment it was only Rana Vs Naga and all the rage they had between them”.
