Tollywood producers furious on Dil Raju

Top producer Dil Raju took the initiative and suggested a strike for other producers to get things to control. He is the face of the Active Producers Guild of Tollywood and a series of meetings are planned this week to discuss about the hurdles the producers are facing. Leaving everyone in shock and surprise, the shoot of Dil Raju’s Vaarasudu featuring Vijay happened in Vizag as per the plan. Dil Raju came up with a silly explanation that Vaarasudu is a Tamil film and it is not a Telugu film.

Tollywood top producers are now furious on Dil Raju about his acts, statements and the work he has been doing. Dil Raju delivered fake promises recently. He said that he did not hike the ticket prices for Naga Chaitanya’s Thank You but the tickets were sold for high prices. Dil Raju is trolled on social media and the Tollywood media houses attacked him for his acts. Another active member of the Guild, S Naga Vamsi continued the shoot of Dhanush’s Sir and the shoot is happening in Ramoji Film City. Though the producers are tight-lipped, everyone is furious on Dil Raju and Naga Vamsi.

As discussed earlier, the Tollywood producers have to stand united to cross all the barriers and resolve all the issues. Else, the issues will never get resolved.

Sir deals with a serious and relevant subject like how corporates are killing the education system for minting money.

It is the fight of a lecturer, Balagangadhar Tilak against that system. The makers should be appreciated for packaging a very important issue plaguing society stuffed with perfect commercial elements.

Everybody will connect to the subject and at the same time, it is not preachy.

Sir release date is yet to be announced. But the teaser leaves a nice mark on the audience and is a perfect start to the promotions.

First Look: Dhanush’s Sir

Tamil actor Dhanush is doing a straight Telugu film for the first time and the film is titled Sir. The film is said to be a satire on the current education system and is about how a youngster revolts against the system. Venky Atluri is the director and the shoot of the film reached the final stages. The first look of Dhanush from the film is out. Dhanush is completely occupied in writing in the released poster. Samyuktha is the leading lady and Samuthirakani will be seen in a prominent role. Top technicians of South Indian cinema are a part of the project and GV Prakash Kumar is the music director. Hero Dhanush will be joining hands with director Arun Matheswaran for a period film story of which takes place in 1930s and 40s. Usually, period films are made on huge budgets. Likewise, this movie titled Captain Miller will also be mounted on a massive budget. This indeed will be highest budgeted movie for Dhanush.

The story is set in pre-Independence period and Dhanush will play a different character in the movie to be produced by T.G. Thyagarajan under the banner of Sathya Jyothi Films. The team spent nearly one year on pre-production works alone.

The announcement video introduces Dhanush as Captain Miller who is seen carrying a gun and riding a motorcycle. His face is covered with a mask. GV Prakash Kumar who is roped into score music has provided wonderful BGM for the video.

Dhanush trolled for attempting Maaran

Dhanush’s recent film Maaran headed for a direct digital release and it is streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar from yesterday. The film is completely lifeless and it hardly had high moments. Maaran is a film that is an extreme disappointment to watch even on an OTT platform. Dhanush’s role is poorly written and presented. Maaran lasts for 2 hours and 10 minutes but it is hard to complete the watch on a single stretch. Maaran is the weakest work of Karthick Naren and Dhanush is trolled badly for picking up such script.
