Vijay Devarakonda – Dil Raju project Announced
Tollywood’s latest sensation Vijay Devarakonda is on a roll and is lined up with back to back projects. Happening producer Dil Raju has been in talks with Vijay Devarakonda for a film. Telugu360 already revealed that the project is locked and it will be directed by Shiva Nirvana. On the occasion of Dil Raju’s birthday, the project has been announced today officially.
The film will start rolling during the second half of 2020 once Vijay Devarakonda and Shiva Nirvana wraps up their commitments. Vijay Devarakonda is all set to join the sets of Puri Jagannadh’s Fighter and Shiva Nirvana will start shooting for Nani’s untitled film from January. Both these projects will release during summer 2020.
Dil Raju’s grand Birthday Bash
Popular producer Dil Raju is celebrating his birthday today. The successful producer celebrated his birthday in a grand manner in a star hotel last night and several celebrities rushed to wish him in the grand bash. Along with his family members, several directors and actors who worked with the veteran producer participated in the party. Vijay Devarakonda happened to be the main attraction of the party. Sankranthi Biggies: Pressure mounting on Dil Raju
Popular producer Dil Raju is known for distributing big-ticket films for the territories of Nizam and Vizag. The ace producer is presenting Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru and he holds the distribution rights of the film for Nizam and Vizag. Dil Raju is also distributing another Sankranthi biggie Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Kalyanram’s Entha Manchivaadavuraa too will release through Dil Raju for Nizam.
He is now under extreme pressure as he needs to allocate theatres for all the films. NV Prasad acquired the Telugu theatrical rights of Rajinikanth’s Darbar and Dil Raju needs to support the film too. With all the Sankranthi films releasing through Raju, he is now under extreme pressure. Balancing theatres for two big stars of Telugu cinema is sure not an easy task. He should be wise to stay away from criticism from both the camps. On the whole, Dil Raju will have the busiest Sankranthi soon.
Dil Raju’s new resolution for 2020
On the occasion of Dil Raju’s distribution house Sri Venkateswara Creations completing 20 years, the ace producer announced collaborating with several young and aspiring filmmakers to produce a bunch of small and medium budget films. This left several young filmmakers excited. But with the dull phase and audience not showing much interest in small budget films, Dil Raju is said to have changed his mind. He is not much interested in producing small budget films and is in the hunt for stars.
His films Iddari Lokam Okate and 96 remake too have been delayed because of the dull phase. Iddari Lokam Okate has been announced for December 25th release but the film has been struggling to gain buzz. At this time, Raju is not in a mood to experiment and bet on small films. Instead, he is holding talks with a bunch of top actors like Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Balakrishna and Mahesh Babu. Some big announcements are expected next year and the talks are currently on.
Dil Raju meets Balakrishna: What’s Cooking?
Popular producer Dil Raju is one filmmaker who manages to be in good books with all the leading actors of Telugu cinema. He produced films with all the young and top actors of Telugu cinema except Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna and Pawan Kalyan. He is all set to team up with Pawan Kalyan for Pink remake. The veteran producer recently met Balakrishna and discussed about teaming up for a project.
Instantly, Balakrishna stepped out on a positive note asking Dil Raju to find a suitable script to work together. If things fall in the right place, the project rolls soon after Balakrishna completes his work for Boyapati Srinu’s film. Dil Raju is currently in the hunt for the right director and script to convince Balayya. Dil Raju also announced that he would soon work with Megastar Chiranjeevi too.
Exclusive: Pawan Kalyan tells Dil Raju to keep mum about Pink!
With rumors regarding ‘Pink’ remake flying thick and fast, producer Dil Raju has now decided to keep mum for a while. A word from Pawan Kalyan’s camp is that the star politician is not happy with the too much of news about his re-entry. When he is seriously fighting against the government’s policies, the speculative reports about ‘Pink Remake’ are distracting the attention and this is affecting him politically.
While interacting with the media recently, Dil Raju made it official that the Pink Remake project will be bankrolled shortly. Pawan Kalyan sent him a message saying – ‘don’t talk too much now’.
Pawan Kalyan has plans of entering into film world again. He may take up one film next year and allot not more than a month’s dates to this project. He will continue to focus more on politics and party affairs. Till he decides about the movie’s launch, Pawan Kalyan doesn’t want rumors about the comeback.
So, Dil Raju may not talk about it openly till he gets a nod from Pawan Kalyan.
Dil Raju to produce films with Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna
Veteran producer Dil Raju produced 32 films in his career span of 17 years. He has been to Goa after his production F2 received rare honor at IFFI. Here are the excerpts from his interview which he gave to a leading daily in which he speaks about his future plans and how Telugu audience changed in the recent times:
F2 was a commercial hit and getting an honor for the film in IFFI makes things more memorable. IFFI completed 50 years recently and apart from NTR’s 1969 film Varakatnam, F2 is the only film from Telugu selected for IFFI. The film was screened in a multiplex screen on November 22th and it will be screened in the famous Miramar beach on November 27th.
Telugu audience changed a lot and I am going with their taste. Apart from family entertainers, we are in plans to produce films of different genres to impress the audience of all sections. All the finalized scripts are re-checked currently because of which some of our future projects got delayed.
The teaser of Mahesh Babu’s Sarileru Neekevvaru is getting terrific response. It will be an Anil Ravipudi film filled with fun, action and emotions. Mahesh Babu is returning back to masses with Sarileru Neekevvaru. The film releases for Sankranthi 2020.
Producers Guild had to intervene about the release dates of Sarileru Neekevvaru and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. As both of them are big-budget films, we wanted to avoid clash. Sarileru Neekevvaru releases on January 11th and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo releases on January 12th.
We are in plans to release 96 remake on February 7th. Sharwanand and Samantha are the lead actors. Nani and Sudheer Babu starrer ‘V’ will release on March 25th for Ugadi.
2020 will be quite special for me. I have been in plans to make my debut into Hindi which is coming true with Jersey remake. Also, producing a film with Pawan Kalyan has been my long-time dream. It is turning true with Pink remake.
Sriram Venu will direct Pink remake. Pawan Kalyan is yet to finalize his dates. The pre-production work of the film is currently going on.
2017 happened to be one of the memorable years for our production house. We scored six blockbusters in a row that year. SVC will have more than six releases next year.
I have worked with all the top and young actors of Telugu cinema except Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna. I am in plans to team up with them soon. The hunt for the right scripts is currently on.
I had to walk out of Indian 2 due to various reasons. If I find the right scripts, I am ready to produce films in any language.
Indian audience are in love with OTT content which is the latest trend. We are in talks for a couple of web series which will be announced next year. Regional content plays a crucial role in the coming years for sure.
Testing time for Dil Raju
Dil Raju is one of the most successful producers of Telugu cinema. He worked with almost all the leading actors of Tollywood. With all the top actors occupied with back to back films, Dil Raju is finding it tough to produce a big-ticket film. Though he announced Icon with Allu Arjun in the direction of Sriram Venu, the film got shelved due to undisclosed reasons. Dil Raju is keen on working with Mahesh Babu again and Vamshi Paidipally is busy penning the script.
The recent developments revealed that Mahesh Babu is keen on working with Prashanth Neel rather than Vamshi Paidipally which is leaving Dil Raju worried. He is keen on announcing a big-budget project at any cost next year but he is left with no options. NTR may go with Trivikram and Prabhas is already lined up with many projects. Allu Arjun is working with Sukumar and will take a year to complete the project. Dil Raju managed to rope in Pawan Kalyan for Pink remake. But, he will have to co-produce the film with Boney Kapoor and Pawan Kalyan, Trivikram will take a lion’s share.
96 remake and Raj Tarun’s Iddari Lokam Okate are ready for release. Though Dil Raju planned a series of small budget films, none of them could hit the floors. Dil Raju is currently facing a tough time and we have to wait to see if he announces a biggie soon.
Dil Raju gets a jolt with Aaviri
Allari Ravi Babu’s ‘Aaviri’ is a non-starter at the box-office. Critics have unanimously panned the film, particularly Ravi Babu’s hollow narration. Incidentally, Dil Raju’s name is also unnecessarily getting tarnished.
Producer Dil Raju is in no way connected in Ravi Babu’s film production but his name has been attached to it after the shooting part was completed. For years, Ravi Babu’s films were associated with Suresh Babu but he has tied up with Dil Raju this time to get openings and see a positive impact. This association has done well to either of them.
Dil Raju has no control over the content of this movie but he must be feeling bad with the scathing reviews and word-of-mouth.
Dil Raju volunteers to postpone his movies
Dil Raju has been playing a key role in settling issues about the film trade business in Tollywood. He is solving them with his experience. Now, he has come taken a volunteer decision to avoid competition with other films and stood as an example to other producers.
His new production starring Sharwanand and Samantha was originally scheduled for Christmas release. The film is a remake of Tamil successful movie ‘96’. As Ravi Teja, Balakrishna and Sharwanand’s films have also announced their release dates for the Christmas festival, Dil Raju has changed his plans. If he releases his movie competing with these three movies, he would face severe criticism. Thus, Dil Raju has taken ‘96’ remake out of December competition.
He is also trying to bring a comprise between the producers of ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ and ‘Ala Vaikunthapuramlo’. These films have announced Jan 12 as their release dates but Dil Raju is trying them to maintain a day’s gap at least. Though Dil Raju is also co-producer of ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’, the release date is decided by Mahesh Babu.
Dil Raju and Krish production gets an interesting title
Telugu360 was the first to reveal that Dil Raju and Krish are teaming up for the first time and are on board to produce a comic caper. Srinivas Avasarala is the lead actor and Sagar is making his directorial debut with this interesting concept based film. The film is titled Nootokka Jillala Andagaadu and the movie got its official launch today with a pooja ceremony.
The regular shoot of Nootokka Jillala Andagaadu will start soon and Sri Venkateswara Creations, First Frame Entertainments are the producers. Rajeev Reddy will handle the production responsibilities of Nootokka Jillala Andagaadu. The film will hit the screens during the first half of 2020. The lead actors and technicians are finalized and the makers will make an official announcement soon.
Dil Raju mounting pressure on Anil Ravipudi
Anil Ravipudi is one director who is racing ahead with back to back hits. The ace director worked with Dil Raju for three films and he is currently directing Superstar Mahesh Babu in Sarileru Neekevvaru. Dil Raju who shares a close bonding with Anil Ravipudi is in plans to sign one more big-budget film with the talented director soon. Though the duo announced F3 in their combo, the project may not happen anytime soon as Anil has commitments with Shine Screens and Niharika Entertainments.
These production houses already paid advances and locked Anil Ravipudi for their next projects. With no big-ticket films in hand, Dil Raju is keen on retaining Anil Ravipudi for his next project. Though Raju is co-producing Sarileru Neekevvaru, he is keen on producing a solo big-budget film next year. Mahesh will take a call on Vamshi Paidipally’s film next year and Allu Arjun kept Icon on hold. Hence, Dil Raju is only left with Anil and he is desperate of locking him for his next. Only time can say if Anil gives his nod or goes ahead with his promised commitments.
Dil Raju and Krish are set for a joint production
Couple of months ago, top producer Dil Raju announced that he would collaborate with talented filmmakers in the coming days to be a part of interesting and content-driven films. Dil Raju will hear the final draft and will fund resources for these projects. His first collaboration has been finalized and it would be with talented director Krish. Dil Raju, Krish and Rajeev Reddy will be producing this interesting film.
The movie will get its official launch tomorrow in a grand manner. The film will be directed by a debutant and Srinivas Avasarala will play the lead role. Touted to be a comic entertainer, the makers are finalizing the actors, technicians currently. More details will be announced officially soon.
Rashmika’s big no for Dil Raju?
Kannada sensation Rashmika Mandanna is racing in Tollywood with back to back films. She is romancing Mahesh Babu in Sarileru Neekevvaru and several filmmakers are in race to lock the actress for their next. Dil Raju already locked Naga Chaitanya for a romantic drama which will be directed by a debutante Sashi. The project rolls early next year once Chaitu turns free from all his commitments.
Rashmika is considered for the female lead’s role. Rashmika is not completely convinced with the assignment and she rejected the film. The makers are now in hunt for a young actress currently to suit the role. The regular shoot will commence from January 2020 and will have its release during summer next year. Naga Chaitanya is currently busy with the shoot of Sekhar Kammula’s untitled romantic entertainer.
Dil Raju to change the dates of SLN and AVP!
Mahesh Babu and Allu Arjun competing with their films on January 12 is not a healthy sign for the industry is the argument that occupied media and social media space for the past two days. But this is not going to happen. They will not release their films on the same day, said a source who is involved in this whole game plan.
There will be a day’s gap between “Sarileru Neekevvaru” and “Ala Vaikunthapuramlo” in their releases. The producers have announced January 12 as their dates with a combined plan. It was a tactic to scare any other movie trying to announce this date.

Dil Raju is also producing a partner in “Sarileru Neekevvaru”. How would he allow direct fight between two big movies when he has been advocating that no two big films should not fight with each other? He will change the release dates at the last minute. He will not involve at this moment as both the movies are still in the production stage.
Dil Raju locks Varun Tej
Varun Tej is one actor who has been testing his luck in all the genres. After an out and out comic entertainer like F2, Varun Tej shifted his base to mass films and tested his luck with Gaddalakonda Ganesh. His transformation and performance received top class response from the audience. Varun Tej is on a break and will start shooting for a sports drama early next year. Kiran Korrapati will direct the film and Varun Tej plays a boxer in this untitled film.
As per the latest update, top producer Dil Raju locked Varun Tej recently for his next film. Venky Atluri who made an impressive debut with Varun’s Tholi Prema will direct the film. Venky Atluri is currently busy with Nithiin’s Rang De and he will work on Varun Tej’s film after the completion of this project. This film rolls during the second half of next year and is said to be a breezy romantic drama.
Dil Raju’s golden offer for Anil Ravipudi
Anil Ravipudi is one young director who is racing ahead with back to back hits. After the super success of F2, he grabbed an opportunity to direct Superstar Mahesh Babu. The talented director worked with ace producer Dil Raju for three films: Supreme, Raja the Great and F2. As per the latest buzz, Dil Raju offered a hefty paycheque as advance to Anil Ravipudi and locked him for two films.
Anil Ravipudi has been asked to direct F2 in Hindi along with F3, the sequel for F2. The discussions are currently on and some big announcements are expected in the coming days. Dil Raju and Boney Kapoor will jointly produce F2 in Hindi and the script work is currently on. The regular shoot of the film will commence next year.
Dil Raju is the new ‘Settlement Star’ of Telugu Industry
Like it has come out already, Gang Leader got fixed to September 13th and Valmiki moved to September 20th, averting the major clash. As Saaho is locked on August 30th and Sye Raa coming on 2nd October, only those two dates are the possible best for films to come up. But this postponement hasn’t happened so easily.
Today producer Dil Raju made the producers of both Gang Leader (Mythri Movie Makers) and Valmiki (14 Reels Plus) on either side of him to clarify about the release dates. He said, “On festival release, we will be allowing 3-4 films without any doubt, but on other non-festival non-holidays dates we don’t want two films to clash. Producers Guild will interfere to sort out release clashes”.
And the story hasn’t come to this climax so smoothly. Dil Raju is said to have spoken to unbending Harish Shankar and convinced him to give up September 13th. The star producer reached out to Varun Tej as well to speak about the issue and persuaded him about the losses one would see if these two films clash.
Without explaining the back story, Dil Raju articulated: “We will discuss and solve, no matter what the issue is. There is nothing like we will take action on the particular producer (or anyone) if they do come on a date we are opposed it. We will make the producer, director, hero understand how much money everyone will lose if two films clash”.

Whether it is at Evaru movie related press meets or other film events, Dil Raju is right now making fellow heroes and male actors jealous with his new looks. He has lost oodles of weight thereby looking quite radiant. His body is not looking like he lost weight due to some health issues.
