I will leave BJP if it ties up with YCP: Pawan

0

Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan has finally clarified that he will not continue his party alliance with BJP if it enters a tie-up with the YCP in Andhra Pradesh. Pawan told Amaravati Capital farmers that there is no chance of the BJP entering an alliance with the YCP. But, the day that happens, Pawan said he would come out of the alliance with BJP the same day.

In the past three days, fast political developments took place as CM Jaganmohan Reddy met PM, Amit Shah and several Union Ministers. YCP Minister Botsa Satyanarayana statement on YCP joining NDA triggered severe backlash from different sections.

Questions are being asked whether Pawan Kalyan would continue to be with BJP if it enters partnership with YCP. However, Senani has made his point very clear. He also told farmers not to believe in the misleading statements of different parties.

TDP responds on I-T raids, says YSRCP trying to malign Naidu’s image

0

The TDP on Friday accused the YSRCP of trying to malign the image of TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu.

It alleged that the former personal secretary of Chanrababu Naidu, P Srinivas was harassed in the name of IT raids for five days.

It clarified that Srinivas was already relieved from Chandrababu Naidu’s office 9 months ago.

The TDP’s version on I-T raids is as follows:

While the IT officials said that Rs 2000 cr irregularities were noticed in the country, the YSR mafia has started false campaign that the amount was found at Srinivas and started blaming TDP.

In reality, the Jaganmohan Reddy government awarded the reverse tendering contract of Polavaram project to a company, which was raided by IT officials. The central govt also objected changing of contractors as the project works will be delayed and the same information was revealed in parliament.

However people are questioning how the Jagan govt awarded Polavaram and Veligonda reverse tendering projects to a company facing IT raids.

It may be noted that the CBI filed an affidavit asking the court not to give exemption from appearance of Jagan to CBI court as it will lead to influence the witnesses. Jaganmohan Reddy tarnished the image of Andhra Pradesh through his shell companies and money laundering at international level. A case was filed against Jaganmohan Reddy companies in international court of justice, Maritius.

Surprisingly Jaganmohan Reddy who is accused in Rs 43000 cr scam and involved in 11 cases resorting to mudslinging on Chandrababu Naidu.

While chandrababu Naidu’s family revealing their assets every year, why Jaganmohan Reddy family failed to reveal their assets. The YSR Congress leaders trying to tarnish the image of Chandrababu Naidu instead of questioning their leader.

The YS Rajasekhara Reddy instituted 26 inquiries on Chandrbabu Naidu but failed to prove the charges. Everyone knows that Chandrababu Naidu gave a call to abolish Rs 2000 and Rs 500 currency notes to curb corruption.

The Telugu Desam also appealed to the election commission to bear the expenditure of contesting candidates. Everyone knows that while the TDP is concentrating on Development and welfare, the YSR Congress has been resorting to corruption and blackmailing politics.

The Jaganmohan Reddy govt has been making false campaign on Chandrababu Naidu and TDP to divert the attention of people. First Jagan should come out with clean chit by completing the pending inquiry on the cases filed against him. The Telugu Desam pary has been strongly condemning the actions of Jagan mafia indulging in false campaign against the TDP.

YCP-TDP blame game ahead of Jagan Delhi visit

2

In just two days, AP Chief Minister Jaganmohan Reddy is making a second visit to Delhi. This time, he is going to meet Amit Shah at 9 p.m. tonight. The unusual late night appointment has triggered lot of political speculation in AP. On its part, the TDP leaders are saying that Jagan’s repeated visits without any positive results for AP showed how weak his position has become in front of the Modi-Shah duo. The Opposition leaders are asking why CM or his MPs are unable to explain why the Centre is not giving any funds or not granting any new projects to the state. Despite this, why is it that Jagan Reddy is making desperate visits to Delhi for appointments with Modi-Shah?

On the other hand, YCP Ministers are strongly hitting back saying that Chandrababu Naidu has literally gone into hiding after the IT raids on his former personal secretary Srinivas. Minister Botsa Satyanarayana says that instead of explaining to people about IT raids, TDP leaders maligning Jagan’s Delhi tour. Botsa boldly said that their party would join the BJP-led NDA if required in the larger interests of Andhra Pradesh. Botsa further announced that AP Capital shifting has already begun and nobody can make it irreversible at this stage.

Andhra’s ruling YSRCP now says it is against CAA

0

In a volte-face on the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), Andhra Pradesh’s ruling YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) on Tuesday said it is against the discriminatory law and also opposed the proposed National Register of Citizens (NRC).

The YSRCP, which had voted for Citizenship Amendment Bill (CAB) in the Parliament, has now said that it is against the legislation.

Deputy Chief Minister Amjad Basha said the state government would not support CAA and NRC.

He claimed that Chief Minister Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy has already made the party’s stand clear. He said the people, especially the minorities, need not panic as the YSRCP was opposed to both CAA and NRC.

He told reporters that that minorities are feeling insecure and were staging protests. “Our government is for welfare of the minorities and supports them. We already consulted various minority organisations and took their opinion,” he said.

“According to the Indian Constitution, those unable to adjust in other countries during Partition have come and takeb Indian citizenship, which is quite legal. Objecting such people’s citizenship after these many years is not a fair step,” a statement by the YSRCP quoted the minister as saying.

The YSRCP, which has 22 MPs in Lok Sabha, had voted for CAB but had sought amendments to include Muslims.

Interestingly both the YSRCP and opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) had supported CAB. However, Telangana’s ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) had voted against it.

YCP blocks Select Committees lawlessly?

0

The Jaganmohan Reddy government is throwing all the established legislature practices to the winds. Now, the YCP Ministers have put such pressure on AP Council Secretary Krishnamacharyulu that he didn’t obey his Chairman MA Sharif’s order to form Select Committees. Obviously, the Secretary was also terrified that he would meet the same fate as that of Ex Chief Secretary LV Subrahmanyam and Ex Intelligence chief AB Venkateswara Rao. Krishnamacharyulu just reported to Chairman that the Committees couldn’t be formed because this was in violation of the rules.

TDP MLCs picked up arguments with the Secretary but he remained in a state of shock and silence. Left with no choice, the TDP decided to take this issue also to the High Court. The opposition has decided to counter each and every illegality of Jagan Reddy Circar by filing any number of cases in the court.

On the other hand, YCP is going ahead freely violating laws and also resorting to contempt of court orders. Right now, Ministers say that since the Select Committees are not technically formed, the Council can no longer block the bills on Capital shifting and CRDA cancellation.

YCP virus more fatal than Corona, says Naidu

0

Hundreds of Chinese citizens are dying due to Corona virus while thousands more are getting infected. The infection is spreading fast to other countries. But, TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu says that the YCP virus is wreaking greater havoc with the AP state as major industries are migrating to other states one by one in just eight months of Jagan Reddy Regime. Undoubtedly, YCP virus is more dangerous than Corona and it’s upto the people to cure this killer disease, says Naidu.

The opposition leader’s comments come in the wake of Reliance Electronics Industry going away from Tirupati. This video following the Jaganmohan Reddy government’s announcement to take back Reliance lands and re-allot them to the homeless poor people.

Naidu recalled how the Asia Paper, Singapore Consortium, Kia Accessories Manufacturers, Franklin Templeton and other major industries have already left the state. Now, CM and Ministers have set their sights on Millennium Towers in Vizag in the name of shifting Secretariat there. This is driving away many IT companies from there. Nearly, 18,000 youth are losing jobs because of this.

Jagan another GO violating court orders?

0

The AP High Court has ordered the YCP government not to proceed with the Executive Capital shifting out of Amaravati till further orders. But, Jagan Circar issued a GO moving AP Vigilance Commission and AP Commissionerate of Enquiries to Kurnool. The HC already took objection to it saying that was a contempt of court. Now, another GO is silently issued merging four villages of the CRDA with the Tadepalli and Mangalagiri municipalities.

This is being considered not just as a contempt of court order but also as an utter disregard for the legislative and parliamentary procedures. The above four villages are part of the CRDA. They are Navuluru, Errabalem, Bethapudi and Penumaka. Right now, the CRDA Cancellation Bill is pending for approval of the AP Legislative Council. It got stuck in a legislative stalemate. Jagan Reddy government is not recognising the independent functioning of Council Chairman MA Sharif. YCP Ministers are not giving value to Select Committee ordered by Sharif on CRDA Bill.

Political analysts say that Jagan Circar is apparently on a mission to ignore all constitutional obligations in order to demolish Amaravati Capital piece by piece. As a result, Capital farmers are forced to file countless petitions in the courts starting endless litigation.

Jagan-BJP ‘quid pro quo’ on AP Capital shifting?

0

The YCP came to power by promising to forcefully get Special Status from the Union Government. In the last seven months however, CM Jagan has not raised his voice on the status issue. In return for this, the BJP is not interfering with the AP Capital shifting. While Modi Circar considers Special Status as a closed chapter, Jagan Circar is considering Vizag Capital as a non-negotiable issue. Both the parties have an obvious understanding of ‘quid pro quo’. This is causing much concern among the farmers who will suffer heavy property loss once Capital is shifted out of Amaravati.

Political circles say that very unfortunately, the quid pro quo politics has been hurting Andhra Pradesh ever since YS Rajasekhar Reddy Regime. The 6-year YSR rule was marked by massive benefits sharing in corruption scandals. Subsequently, the CBI cases shook the state for five years after YSR death till separate Telangana was formed. After Jagan came to power in 2019, the quid pro quo politics returned to dominate the AP state while Telangana is relatively enjoying better stability. As usual, YCP Regime is bargaining for its power in every issue.

As a result, doubts are increasing that BJP may not interfere with Capital shifting as long as Jagan would not demand Special Status.

YCP isolated on Select Committees in AP Council

0

The YCP Ministers have till now talked as if their party has the support of BJP and PDF MLCs on the Capital shifting and CRDA Cancellation plans. But the scene has reversed now as the BJP has nominated its MLCs for the two Select Committees being appointed by Legislative Council Chairman MA Sharif. Somu Veerraju and Madhav will represent BJP on the two committees. Veerraju is known for his anti-Naidu leanings but his party has given his name for the important select committee. He would also have to follow the BJP State unit line against the 3 Capitals. Eventually, it is only the YCP which has not given any names of its nominees. The ruling party is sticking to its strategy to boycott the Select Committees. The YCP has already stopped recognising the existence of the Council ever since the abolition resolution was passed in the Assembly. However, the Centre has not yet approved of AP Council abolition.

In the initial days, YCP Ministers and MPs tried to bulldoze by saying that the Parliament and the Centre had no role to play in the state capital shifting. Gradually, it is emerging that the BJP is against the Council abolition and Capital shifting to Visakhapatnam. Select Committees are being considered big blow to AP Circar.

Centre will step into Amaravati issue at an appropriate time: Kishan Reddy

0

Union Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy on Sunday made interesting comments on YSRCP government’s decision to create three capitals for Andhra Pradesh and shifting executive capital from Amaravati. He said Centre will step  into the issue at an ‘appropriate time’.

Kishan Reddy stated that there is no information to the Centre on the three state capitals proposed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.

Amaravati farmers’ joint action committee leaders called on Kishan Reddy on Sunday and apprised him how t he farmers of the Amaravati capital region w o uld suffer heavy loss on account of the state government’s decision.

He said that the government would speak with the Andhra Pradesh Government only after receipt of information in writing from the government of Andhra Pradesh.

Further, he remarked that the Centre would conduct itself within the framework of the Constitution.

Though the ball is in the state government’s court, the Centre would make suggestions to the state government asking it to keep in mind the welfare of farmers before taking a decision.

He welcomed the decentralised development but opined that relocating the state capitals elsewhere from Amaravati  is not good for AP in the long run.

Jagan govt to face contempt of court case on Vigilance office shifting to Kurnool

0

Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s hasty decision to shift Vigilance office to Kurnool ignoring the AP High Court orders is all set to land YSRCP government in legal trouble.

A group of advocates and others are going to file  contempt of court case against Jagan government in the AP High Court on Monday against the GO issued by the Chief Secretary on relocation of the Vigilance department office Kurnool from Velagapudi.

The lawyers want to bring to the notice of the court whether the GO was issued with the concurrence of Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy or because of the oral instructions of the CM and whether pressure tactics were used on CS to issue the GO.

Though the High Court expressly ordered the Chief Secretary to not to issue any GOs, irrespective of the decision of the state government,  till the date specified by the court, the GO has been issued worrying t he government servants and employees about her. They worry whether the government will make the scapegoat?

The GO has fuelled speculations that relocation of the government offices commences with the shifting of the vigilance commissioner  and other offices will follow suit soon.

The GO did not explain reasons for relocating the offices.

Though Kurnool has been designated as the judicial capital of AP, the two offices have no relevance with the judicial capital. The two offices are functioning from AP Secretariat for long.

YCP MLA protest at Naidu ancestral house: Vizag Capital

0

CM Jagan Reddy, his Ministers and MLAs are defying all logic and crossing all limits to suppress even the smallest protest against their Vizag Capital plan. Now, ruling party MLA Chevireddy Bhaskara Reddy is holding his most unexpected protest in front of Chandrababu Naidu’s ancestral home in Naravaripalle village in Chandragiri assembly segment. Chevireddy is protesting against the TDP’s ongoing agitation against the 3 Capitals plan.

Chandrababu followers strongly objected to Chevireddy’s protest. The MLA should have held his protest in Chandragiri or Tirupati town. There is no need for him to provoke the TDP sympathisers in the peaceful native village of Chandrababu. The Naravaripalle TDP cadres tried to clash with YCP MLA but the heavy police force controlled the opposition’s leaders while Chevireddy went ahead with his anti-Naidu protests in Naidu’s own village.

For the past seven weeks, the YCP leaders mostly enjoyed the show as the police along with external elements oppressed and suppressed the Amaravati farmers and TDP agitators. Now, as the Capital shifting started in bits and pieces, the YCP MLAs are beginning diversionary protests. On the verge of losing their patience, Amaravati agitators are demanding no further delay from Modi and Pawan to immobilise Jagan government in order to prevent further hurt to AP people.

YCP sketch to divide and cripple Amaravati farmers

0

The adamant Jagan Reddy government initially didn’t care to talk to the Amaravati farmers on the issue of shifting Executive Capital out of their region. Many farmers have filed court cases while Chandrababu Naidu halted Capital shifting by getting AP Council Select Committee enquiry into 3 Capitals plan. More litigation is threatening to paralyse the whole Jagan Reddy government sooner than later.

In the face of increasing odds, Jagan Circar came down a step and started trying to open a dialogue with the agitating farmers. Very cleverly, Jagan sent his party MP Lavu Srikrishna Devarayalu to convince the farmers to talk to the government committee which will be set soon to sort out Amaravati lands issue. Devarayalu belongs to the same Kamma caste against which YCP has launched a historic negative propaganda. Doubts are that the committee is aimed to divide and create disunity in farmers.

Despite this caste-based gestures, Amaravati farmers clarified that they would not settle for anything other than construction of global capital city as promised in their area. Because, farmers took massive loans and made huge financial commitments based on high real estate values before. Now, real estate collapsed and farmers are facing total bankruptcy including loss of ancestral properties. The Amaravati JAC also became alert to stop YCP plans to divide and rob the farmers of their precious lands and livelihoods.

Don’t take our patience as a weakness: Balakrishna tells Jagan

0

Actor-MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna asked the Jagan Reddy government what would happened if the TDP cadres revolted during Hindupur protests. Balakrishna asked what would have happened if he had given one gesture to the 1,000 strong TDP crowd when just 20 YCP cadres were creating problems. He said that a very intolerable, vicious political culture is going on. The whole world is laughing at the state.

Balakrishna warned the Jagan Reddy government not to take their patience and peaceful coexistence as their weakness. He said that the people are very unhappy and they will surely revolt against the oppressive, cruel governance.

Balakrishna recalled how NTR projected the culture of Telugu people as one of pride and self-respect but now these people are losing their prestige in front of others. It’s becoming a bigger challenge for TDP leaders to face YCP attacks. The police are not stopping YCP mobs but they are filing cases against TDP leaders if they respond to ruling party attacks.

YSRCP, TRS to oppose NRC, NPR in Parliament

0

The ruling YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh and ruling TRS in Telangana have decided to fight against against National Register of Citizens (NRC) and the National Population Register (NPR) in the upcoming Budget session of Parliament starting January 31.

The MPs of YSRCP and TRS, who attended the all-party meeting convened by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Thursday made it clear that their party leadership has decided to oppose NRC and NPR .

YSRCP MP Mithun Reddy said that his party will rally behind minorities and sought a debate on the issue in Parliament as the information sought in NPR was different than what was asked earlier.

He said there was a sense of unease among minorities in the country after the Citizens Amendment Act was introduced in Parliament. “We will certainly oppose NRC and NPR if they were introduced by the Cabinet. We sought a debate on the issue to clear the insecure feeling among minorities,” he said.

Mithun Reddy said CAA Bill was introduced as an issue related to three other countries and added that way in which it was introduced and the way it is going to be implemented is different. He said Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy has asked us to oppose anything that is against the wishes of minorities.

TRS MPs Nama Nageshwar Rao and K Keshava Rao demanded the Centre to withdraw CAA, NPR and NRC in the interests of the country and TRS will raise its voice against NPR and NRC strongly in the Parliament.

TDP postpones “Save Amaravati” rally in Tenali!

0

The TDP was forced to postpone “Save Amaravathi” rally in Tenali scheduled on Jan 29 to February 4 since prohibitory orders are in place in Tenali following a recent clash between YSRCP and TDP activists leading to torching of a dharna camp in the town.

The police asked the TDP to put off its proposed public meeting in view of prohibitory orders in place in the town.

YSRCP MLA of Tenali Annabattuni Siva Kumar asked YSRCP leaders and activists to be prepared to block the plans of Chandrababu Naidu to hold meeting in the town and vowed to not to allow him enter the outskirts of Tenali.

However, he sought to know how can the TDP hold meeting at a time when prohibitory orders are in force, he questioned.

The TDP under the garb of the JAC is trying revive the moribund party, he alleged and noted that the YSRCP would not remain a mute spectator if the TDP provokes the people burning effigies of the CM.

“The YSRCP activists are no Lord Budhdha or Mahatma Gandhi to become a mere witness to burning of effigies of Jaganmohan Reddy”, he said.

The histrionics of the TDP would not be able to revive the party, he predicted.

The MLA alleged that it was the TDP activists who set fire to the dharna camp to sling mud on the YSRCP.

YCP mind games begin on abolition of AP Council

0

AP Ministers made confusing statements on Capital shifting till CM Jagan Reddy finally announced Visakhapatnam as the next Main Capital of AP. This clarification came after a prolonged and dangerous guessing game played by Minister Botsa Satyanarayana with the AP people. Now, similar mind games began on the issue of abolition of AP Council also. This time, YCP MLA Ambati Rambabu took up the task of starting this confusing game. He tells the people that the Council may or may not be abolished. The MLA is even asking why opposition parties jump to conclusions on such matters.

At the same time, Ambati Rambabu hits back at rival leaders saying that YSR had a different political situation when he revived Council. YSR was working in a national party. But it is not so with Jagan Reddy who is the undisputed supreme leader of his regional party. Ambati’s latest comments created further confusion whether Jagan Reddy is reversing his decision to abolish the Council because of non-cooperative Modi-Shah duo at the Centre. Without Central support, Jagan can’t get Council abolished now or ever. What other scope is there to shift AP Capital City immediately? Ministers are saying that CM has supreme powers but the opposition parties and Amaravati farmers are not accepting the YCP arguments. Can CM prove his decision as lawful in the court?

YCP reverse resolutions in Capital villages panchayats

0

The previous TDP government convinced and got the 29 Amaravati village panchayats pass resolutions to merge with the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA). Only after this, the villages lost their panchayat status and cleared the way for en masse handing over of farmers lands for Capital City construction. Now, the Jagan Reddy government is forced to get reverse resolutions from all these 29 panchayats in order to cancel the CRDA Act. The YCP leaders and the CRDA staff are now busy trying to get these reverse resolutions by using all sorts of tactics including threats. They are telling residents of Amaravati villages that they will lose lot more if they don’t cooperate on the fresh resolutions.

Already, the government has proposed to form the Amaravati Metropolitan Region Development Authority (AMRDA) in place of CRDA for reverse merger of all 29 Capital villages with the new AMRDA. The Capital shifting and CRDA cancellation bills are not yet passed in the Council but the government is going ahead with CRDA dismantling through panchayats resolutions. The High Court has stopped all Capital shifting steps but the Jagan Reddy Circar is continuing to ignore the court orders as usual. In a clear contempt of court, the AP government has also issued notices to Amaravati villages to pass these resolutions unconditionally. Endless litigation from the government side is undoubtedly robbing the farmers of their peace and property.

YCP counter agitation to favour Jagan 3 Capitals

0

The YCP held a massive rally and public meeting at Narasaraopet as part of its strategy to counter the Amaravati farmers agitation against Capital shifting. Interestingly, the chief guest of this Narasaraopet show was CM’s Principal Advisor Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy. So, Ministers and YCP MLAs came well prepared to show their unwavering loyalty to Jagan Reddy. They asked Chandrababu Naidu to stop his real estate and caste biased agitation for spending all funds of AP for the development of only one Amaravati Capital City.

MLA Ambati Rambabu announced that their CM would not go back on his historic decision to do justice for the backward regions in the state. He said that while Chandrababu is alms-begging to protect his caste people’s property, it’s only Jagan Reddy who is doing justice for all castes and communities in the state.

The YCP Ministers and MLAs asserted that only one caste is participating in Amaravati agitation. The other communities are peaceful. There is no agitation outside of Amaravati also. YCP leaders also gave all indications of the Jagan Reddy government’s firm decision to pass a resolution in AP Assembly in favour of Capital shifting in two days from now.

No alliance of any sort with TDP or YSRCP: BJP in-charge Sunil Deodhar

0

Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party formally announced today that it has decided to ally with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Andhra Pradesh. After a long discussion, Janasena and BJP leaders convened press meet and announced their alliance. It is known news that Pawan Kalyan recently met JP Nadda, the working president of the party at the national level, and had a series of discussions. In fact, BJP and Janasena discussions started during TANA meetings itself when Ram Madhav and Pawan Kalyan had a secret meeting in the US.

Janasena is BJP ally for lifetime: Sunil Deodhar

Pawan Kalyan said today, “BJP and JSP will work together to come to power in 2024 in Andhra Pradesh. We will work for the people of the state together. ” However, more than Pawan’s statements, the statements of BJP leaders came as surprise for political analysts today. Sunil Deodhar, BJP in-charge, categorically dismissed any sort of alliance with TDP or YSRCP. He made it clear that BJP has no alliance or understanding with TDP or YSRCP, not even secret understanding or behind the veil agreements. He reiterated that Janasena is the only alliance for BJP in Andhra Pradesh. He told, Janasena is their ally for a lifetime.

No alliance or understanding with TDP or YSRCP

Not only Sunil Deodhar, but even other leaders of BJP also clarified on the same. Leaders like GVL Narsimha Rao, Kanna Lakshmi Narayana and others raised this topic and explicitly confirmed that BJP and Janasena will face 2024 elections together and expressed the confidence that they will form the government. Kanna went on to say that the doors have been shut for tdp into this alliance. It is known news that there has been some news about the possibility of joining the BJP- Janasena alliance and repeating 2014. Even the TDP cadres are hopeful of such alliance in future.

Also, some YSRCP leaders have been conveying that their party has a close relationship with the ruling party at the centre. But, the latest statement of BJP leaders seems to be causing concern for the fans of Jagan, given the fact that, he is still attending the court every Friday on the disproportionate assets case. Moreover, Jagan’s government has to be extremely cautious now as the party ruling the centre is on the side of their enemy.

We will have to wait and see how the BJP Janasena alliance will make their mark in AP politics.
